i've maybe missed your incubator post di?? don't worry about the humidity too much, it's not so important with chook eggs as we are a prety damp country anyway, just stick a small dish of water in every few days, and make sure the humidity is high (with a sponge) when they hatching .....

last time i had a tortie female she was mated with just a ginger male, and she had 6 kittens, 2 ginger/white females, 2 balck and white, one black and one ginger ... typical lol

Aahh, ginger female is rare because she has to have the ginger gene from both sides. I love Google

The ginger gene changes black pigment into a reddish pigment. The ginger gene is carried on the X chromosome. A normal male cat has XY genetic makeup so he only needs to inherit one ginger gene for him to be a ginger cat. A normal female is XX genetic makeup so she must inherit two ginger genes to be a ginger cat. If she inherits only one ginger gene, she will be tortoiseshell with some ginger areas and some black/brown areas.

well as they have their own walking incubator ... i'm hoping all will go smoothly, hope she's ok tho cos she's only ikkle ... and just a year old .... definitely should have got her spayed sooner but never seemed to have the cash ... but tis done now so keepin things crossed

well not long now ... we seem to be expecting about 20 she's not exactly a chunky cat, so there is just this body with a huge round belly, i really must find my battery charger.... anyway according to a calender i found they could be born as early as 1st june but due date is 5th guess i had better get towels and kettles ready
