I have to confess the last 5 years Ive spent bonfire night away from the house ( at tescos!!) but at least this year with all this rain the thatch is well dampened!!

We used to have a border collie who was scared of thunder and fireworks (who can blame him eh?). Only problem was that when he was really scared like that... he used to want 'hugs'...
It involved this great big, hairy, trembling border collie climbing all over you - where ever you were sitting.... poor chap. I felt for him... but it was so hard to try to calm him down - and to stop him squashing us!!Comment

My Dog doesn't like fireworks & she was a gundog in her youth, Occassionly she'll sit looking out the window & whining as she can't see the pheasants dropping when it's thundering
