I think it's 20p return or 15p each way or something like that the last time I went over it.

Hi Nick! Its 12p each way or 25p unlimited travel for the day on the toll bridge, was fun bringing the greenhouse over it, very bumpy, and only tied with string and Mr D's belt!

Thanks DDL, we are hoping to put it up tomorrow! Will let you know how we get on!
        Blessings

Who let you over our bridge Nick? Did you show your passport at Checkpoint Charlie being a Midlander? I remember going over on the rowing boat ferries when I was little before they closed.

The path that leads from Lock lane to where the ferry used to leave from is only about 50 m from our house!! Shame it wasnt still running when we moved in 4 years ago!

Hi DDL! She's not eaten anything important lately, tho has managed to pull the cage off the back of the door once! A friend of ours has also given us a stainless steel lockable post box for the outside wall, but not sure if its secure enough (I can just about reach mail inside and lift it back out), but for the time being its a case of seeing how it goes with the one on the back of the door that you sent us! Many thanks once more!

PS Bella says woof woof to Dexter!

Dexter never pulled it off the door! Just had an idea though!
Dexters Aunty Margaret who lives next door and looks after Dexter all day while Im at work -she made friends with the postman (Andrew) - he is Dexters best friend!
Dexter tries to bend his body in half when he sees Andrew, he's SO pleased so see him - not sure if this had any influence on him not eating the post. Dexter still barks like mad when Andrew puts the post through the door (like he did on Saturday!) but he didn't even try and eat it!
Mind you - can't wait for tomorrow night - trick or treat night! (I HATE it!) so Dexter will get free rein to bark as much as he wants at any children who knock on the door - methinks they are going to be more frightened then he is! DDL

I love having the little ones dressed up coming to the door, but I know Bella wont, so going to be fun tomorrow night! Have just realised I wont be able to spend all day down the plot tomorrow, as we have pumpkins to carve and house to decorate, hmm, wonder if this means Mr D will win his massage!

DDL - that reminded me of when my OH first came to my house (at home with my parents) to pick me up for a 'date'. I hadn't yet returned from my weekend job, but apparently he rang the doorbell and our gorgeous old dog (also called Bella: german shepherd/collie cross; now sadly no more) came running to the door barking her head off - she wasn't keen on the doorbell and almost scared him away. Dad apparently answered the door in his dressing gown holding back this 'ferocious' beast who was pulling like mad to get to the intruder!! LOL - had Dad let go, she'd only have run to find OH a ball to throw! Soft thing that she was. Hit me real bad when she died - she was my best friend.
Anyway, enough about that soppy stuff.

Have just prepared a basket of 'treats' (wot, no tricks!) ready for tomorrow, but still have my pumpkin to carve. tomorrow's tea will predictably be pumpkin soup. YUM!

Yeah, we like that story, it's one of those that comes up on high days and holidays: the one when he "nearly ran away and wasn't going to come back!" Lucky for me he did.

Animals are definitely great! I wish I could have a dog, but it wouldn't be fair on it with us both working. Instead, we have 3 cats; far more independent.

We both work full time, tho OH only works 3 days a week (13 hour shifts tho), so Bella is only ever left for 3 days a week, and only while I am out at work, so she's not left unattended for too long! And we make up for our absence with lots of walks and playing, she loves her squeaky toys (tho when she decides she wants to play with them at 130am it is a bit much!)

Ah bless! Well I'm currently looking for a new job, and if something came up 3 days a week I would take it. Possibly this would mean we could contemplate getting a pup, but therein lies part of the problem, as we really want to get a puppy (rescued) and they need LOADS of time dedicated to them.
You can be sure that if and when we get a dog I WILL be letting you know, as I won't be able to contain myself!
