      Thought I would update if anyone is interested...a few pics attached...home made Strawberry Planter and a raised bed which was my project for the day...both these cost me nothing...good eh..!..anyway, any suggestions to what I should put in the raised bed..?..hoping to build another one tomorrow. Hope everyone had a productive day too in the lovely sunshine.

        Looking really good mate, well impressed.
        Costing nothing is always good. Have you not got anything at home that needs popping into that raised bed?

          Your plot looks great, lots of space to plant up loads!!

          How tall is that strawberry planter? or how tall are you? wondering about the stool...

            Ive got Kale...Sprouts...Cabbage and Broccoli to go in, what do you suggest..?..its approx 5 x 3 foot.

              LOL...I believe its an old cattle feeding basket, not really sure...used a grinder to cut bigger holes in the mesh...got 30 plants to go in tomorrow...hoping for nice weather tomorrow again.

                Well I wouldnt suggest sprouts for they are clearly wrong, but that has been covered before.
                It can all go in there though really, depending on numbers of course.
                Are you going to do more beds?

                  Just thought I would give you all an update...a few pics I have just taken...the planter now has 30 strawbs in, courtesy of freecycle. Hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather.

                          Lovely.....

                          ....your soil looks great. We've solid clay here, with next to no top soil. We went for raised beds as OH is disabled and I'm not allowed to do any heavy lifting.

                          I'm looking forward to being able to use our own chook poo-based compost to rejuvenated the compost in the beds next spring!
