Ronnie james Dio - coo that takes me back in which case we must have

Rainbow - not zippy & george
Whitesnake - I've been mistreated or Let me put my love in to you
Deep purple - smoke on the water followed by
Lindisfarne - fog on the tyne (without gazza preferably)

        what about

Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

collection should also include these two. Are they 70's, slightly before my time I think.

whiter shade of pale - procul harum
In a broken dream - python lee jackson

Any early stuff by Queen, Dire Straits (any decade), Yes,

I spent most of my formative years listening to my Dad's record collection and I blame it for my taste in music now! 1

Every one mentioned by Nick with some Sabbath and some early Motorhead thrown in for good measure - not forgetting AC/DC, UFO, Ted Nugent, Joe Satriani, John Martyn (for those mellow drug induced moments) Uriah Heep - could go on but will need to go up to the attic to relive my youth - get out the old vinyl albums and singles and reminisce

Okay, I know they spanned a few decades, but what about Simon and Garfunkel? Anything of theirs is good by me...

Abba, and for sheer teenage crush factor David Cassidy. He has not worn as well as Donny Osmond who still looks fantastic. My favourite would be Genesis, rather with Phil as lead but I do still like some of the old stuff with peter Gabriel.
