  • So, Beau is now two ounces lighter..

Yup, the time had come, goodbyes were said and off he went to the vets for "nutlet" removal.
Everything went fine, and I picked him up yesterday afternoon complete with novelty headgear to prevent stitch interference.
Have never seen a dog that looked like it had a hangover before!
Bless him, he just climbed into his basket, groaned and went to sleep.
Had a bit of a restless night, trying to get his satalite dish to pick up the Discovery Channel, I expect.
This morning, he was back on Bo-Bo the Clown form, ricocheting off walls, furniture and (painfully) my shins and calves!
Got to go back to Uncle Mark - the vet - for a checkup tomorrow and he's got to wear the lampshade for TEN DAYS!! I'm gonna be black and blue!

Poor think, but it is funny watching them bump into everything and getting spoooked by the bumps lol. The cat had a big collar once and wasn't allowed outside and we opened the patio door about half an inch and he spent ages bumping into it trying to escape! I am cruel for laughing at them lol

Our dog was 'done' 6 years ago...and he still misses them, bless him. Prior to his op he'd been so proud of them and kept them so well polished they shone. Now it's like 'hey there's 24 hours in a day and I can only find a way of filling 6 of them.'
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

When my old boy (Dog not OH ) was done last year, they just removed the contents, so he wouldn't know - how sweet was that!?

Strangely, his bark DOES seem of a slightly higher note(!) and our vet also has left Beau with a handy little "purse". I said to the vet that I wish he'd put a little zip on it, then I could have had somewhere to put my car keys when we go to the beach. - Or loose change. He gave me a "look" - not much of a sence of humour, has dear "Uncle" Mark.
Anyway, "auntie" Clare did his check up today and said that everything looked perfectly fine, and how was he in himself.
I told her he couldn't pick up "Animal Planet" and was missing his removals as although he wasn't sure what they were for, they sure felt good when he licked 'em....
Got another look. Made my excuses and left....
