I agree with everyone on here who says that a friendship can be a wonderful thing on its own and if something else happens then it's even more special. Take it easy Janie and, most of all, enjoy yourself.
With my very best wishes to you and your new "friend"

Good for you, Janie. At the very least, this man sounds like he'll be a nice companion. No need for wedding bells just yet (but can I be a bridesmaid, too?).
I am very happy for you! No-one was meant to stay alone without love and companionship and I'll bet your late husband would be the first to agree. Good luck to you!!
How lovely -remember this life is not a rehersal and we must grab any chances of smiles and happy days so go for it have fun, laugh and i hope he loves gardening (it could be that perfect) and happy birthday
Life is full of suprises Go with it, enjoy it, have fun and if it turns into something more, then that's even lovlier. Good luck!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
You're obviously at the point when you feel ready for a new 'friendship', so I would agree with other posters and say go on enjoy yourself, but be cautious! If you can find a little happiness amongst all the gloom that's about, then good for you.
