I struggle to get OH to eat F & V too. All through the summer I've been putting tomatoes in his sandwiches (counts as 1), but I'm loathed to start buying them when we run out of home grown as they cost so much and taste so little! As for breakfast, he insists he wants coffee and doesn't have time for juice aswell. The only fruit he'll readily eat from the fruit bowl is an apple (luckily grown in the garden at the mo), but will happily eat all manner of cakes and puddings that I make with fruit in - but of course the down side to that is that they invariably contain fat stuff too (don't they LJ?), so then he complains (not seriously) that I'm making him fat!! I pretty much eat 5 a day (sorry not to be as good as some of you!) and probably more like 7 during the summer, but struggle to get OH to eat more than 3 or 4. It's like having kids!

ditto, getting him up on time to drink his juice is like trying to get a teenager out of bed, think theres anti gravity under his side of the bed.

According to todays newspaper if members of the "older generation" eat more vegetables it helps with their memories, you know what I mean - remembering things but fruit doesnt work the same - now where was I?....... DDL

For those of us who remember the film "Trainspotting"--- CHOOSE LIFE
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.
