  • I won a holiday!!

Absolutely nothing to do with gardening but I'm delighted. Never won anything in my life before. I must be the only person in UK who's never even won a tenner on the lottery.
I've won a genuine holiday. Not one of those dodgy timeshare/phone a number for ages at vast expense cons either.

Flights to Prague for 2 people and 7 nights in a 4* hotel.

Well done PT! The only thing I've ever won in my life was being MOM last month! I do hope you have a good time! Have you decided when you are going? DDL

Spot on Pickledtink . Have a great time its a lovely place. Well done
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

Late November or early December I think. The lady from lastminute.com said to give her my choice of dates and the name of my travelling companion.

I have definitely had Prague on my list but never been. I feel really Lucky today. Might even open a bottle of something sparkly.

will look up the best restarant for you, if your a foody, better food than boffs in paris pricy for there but divine paid about 90 for two, appetisers starters mains desserts champange, wine and congac. mmm
otherwise do all the tourist stuff, go to the theatre, buy a puppet see the castle and clock, take a walk in the park, stroll down the river, rub the statues on the bridge. its lovley.

Thanks. I'll check it out. I'll have a look on Lonely planet thorn tree too but I'm after some personal favourites. I work with Czechs and they're always telling me to get over for a visit so now I am.....

What's the must not miss food thing I want to know?

Me too and I am sooo broke this year. Still paying off the debts my shop had when it folded. So this really is the most wonderful treat.

I really only saw the industrial estates PT When you get there ask the maitre 'de in your hotel they will put you right if you keep them right, 40 or 50 euro slipped into his hand when you arrive will create the right impression and can make all the difference between a good holiday and a brilliant one.

it doesnt look like much from the outside just a big old building, you go in and up a massive stone staircase to the top, its like a cross between sleeping beautys house and alice in wonderland, big 8 ft double doors. if the weathers good you can sit outside with a veiw over prauge, its lovley
also had a great hair cut there, asked the hotel to make me an appointment with her hairdresser, she didnt speak english but i got fabulous hair very cheap.
