Mikey my love, don't feel bad for feeling bad I was knocked for 6 after I did mine, and the painkillers can put you on a downer too... I promise you, you'll have good days, and you'll manage to do allsorts, then you'll have sh*tty days when you feel like smacking yourself with a bit of 4"x2" til you can't think any more... Just go with the flow The time does slip away faster than you think. And if you brace yourself for a ruined season, then any little bit you do achieve feels so much better

If you want a really really good whinge, PM me anytime.

I spent many weeks after my accident cursing myself for moving to the Midlands as there were no cliffs to jump off....it was the pills of course [it said 'may encounter malaise!!!]....once I changed pills I felt miles better.

Are you on Faceache hon? I'm sure we can keep you entertained over there without breaking any Vine rules [if you know what I mean - taste and decency - you should see the boots I wear over there...].

What are you suggesting Andrea My Dear??!!

Sorry Mikey!Sounds like poo(....I see your point Andrea, can use slightly more apt language over there!).My mates hubby did his leg in bad having a play fight with one of his work mates...gave the nurses a bit of a giggle when he had to rather sheepishly explain how he'd done it...My mate wasn't quite so amused!
Big hugs to ya & ditto what Andrea said...get onto BF or PM if you want a good whinge!
Any chance of someone planting a few pumpkins or other squash on your plot...great for keeping the weeds down a bit & still puts the plot to a bit of use with minimal effort.

That'll learn you for playing with the wrong shaped ball!!!
Mate its a real bottomer being out of action right now, chin up. Easy to say and never so easy to do when you feel a bit rubbish (insert own word of choice) I do sympathise having been in your situation more than once. However, as has been said, you can still do stuff, and things will improve, albeit too slowly for you I'm sure.
What is Faceache? I'm heading there to see Zazen's boots!!

                Mikey, you plonker!

It's not like you're local, so we can help you out! Anyway, as everyone else has said so far, take it easy, and get all the Physio help you can when the time comes!

AND don't worry about coming on here to whinge - it's what we're here for!

Aww, Mikey! Sounds like absolutely no fun whatsover Take care and heal as quickly as you can.

*wonders if it's worth hiring a couple of bathchairs and doing 'pass the parcel' with you and Sarz, so all us Grapes could take turns in looking after you both!
I was feeling part of the scenery

Oh no, Mickey. After a week with a measly broken toe I'm already fed-up. But that injury sounds truly awful. I'd let your allotments officer know what has happened too, that way if someone on the waiting list takes a fancy to your plot you don't have the distress of trying to explain why you're not able to work it for a while.

That's just plain s&%tty mate! Sorry to hear. People wouldn't be offering to help if they didn't want to. We all know you're not asking and that's not why you posted, just peeps here are just plain generous folks. Take care and hope there's not to many down days.

Can you put an advert in the local postoffice? Ask someone to take care of your lottie this year in return for half the veg? Or some kind of deal? There must be people desperate to have a go who are still on the lists.

Feeling the pain and just thinking about it makes me go all queasy... take care.
