    This one is a cracker!!!

    As is this one...

Under the UK’s Tax Avoidance Schemes Regulations 2006, it is illegal not to tell the taxman anything you don’t want him to know, though you don’t have to tell him anything you don’t mind him knowing.

I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

A church close to my mum, but not the one she attends, has an 'unconsecrated' area of its graveyard where the suicides were buried. Even worse it's where they used to put the un-baptized infants too. This is a very old church though and all the graves in this area are pretty ancient. When you consider the alternative of burial at a crossroads though, having this area was probably considered quite compassionate of them at the time.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I would very much hope that my church, the good old wooly-minded C of E, wouldn't, but I'm sure there are some miserable bastards of anglican priests who would.
In Italy, a year or so ago, a young man who had become completely paralysed and dependant on a ventilator to breathe due to muscular dystrophy insisted on the ventilator being switched off so that he could die. The Catholic church decided that that constituted suicide, and refused him a Catholic funeral.
