The weather here in Preston is awful - its chucking it down and it has been very windy all day. So what are you doing this 'orrible afternoon?

I'm doing housework , yep folks! housework

Dexter is barking is head off at the rain bouncing off the lean-to roof, and chasing the vaccuum cleaner around and trying to chew it.................

I've just had to come back inside after an hour in the garden extending my veggie patch, cos its too hot. (Sorry Bernie).
Now watching a bit of English footy before going back out.

Warm & breezy here been down the lottie for 4 hours 8-12.
Had lunch, potted up some tomato & chilli plants this afternoon.
Now got evenin' meal on the go.

What are you having for tea BW? Ive got a large chicken (free range) or a joint of organic pork and can't decide what to do with them/with one of them...........any ideas anyone?

DDL - miserable in Kirrie today also...rain absolutely battering down, was outside earlier but decided to give up and come indoors. Not doing housework, but doing my Spanish coursework. It'll save me doing study tomorrow...hopefully weather a bit nicer then??

That sounds interesting. A Greek recipe that uses butter rather than olive oil.

Been up to garden centre and got more seeds and more Grow Bags 3 for a tenner I think I am addicted .. :@)

You use neck fillet,diced into very small cubes.
First you brown the lamb in the butter then take it out the pan.
Then you cook onions & garlic(lots to taste)in the same pan then put the meat back in & add peppers, mushrooms, a tin of chopped tomatoes,parsley(or chopped spinach will do)a tea spoon of lime juice salt & pepper & tomato puree.
Cook as you would chilli.
If you want you can add a glass of wine.
All quantities are to taste.

Serve with rice or small pasta.

Done this "dish" many times and it never comes out the same twice owing to the fact that I never weigh any thing I just guess.

We make something similar to that BW, always put chopped celery and a cinnamon stick in too

sounds lovely nicos! just looked out of window and I think I can see blue sky! not that I'll be sunbathing today! but just a glimpse of the sun would be lovely!
