Grosvenor Garden Centre, Chester - 3 runner bean plants in a pot - £1.29. Outrageous!!

We were passing Notcutts yesterday, and OH stopped for the loo. I went in to look around the veg plants, they had radishes, ready to pull, one to a module. I didn't check the price, but the other veg plants were 3.49 a pack.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

They are all extracting the wee-wee. And some mad fools must be paying!

Old gal Marley and i have been into Dobbys at Mancetter (Nick the Grief Country) this afternoon to get some Pork and apple burgers out of the butchery (trotters) because i like them .
Any way whilst walking about the plant section i came across some spud's in 6litre pots 2 spuds and compost all for £4.99p each .
So all you Grapes that grow your spud's in containers you know how much they are worth....jacob

Wow! I've got 2 containers, one about 15 litres, the other 25(ish), with 5 seed spuds in each, well on the way (run out of earthing-up space, and 8 inches or so of green showing)

I tried to get some advice from Wyevales re which sort of netting/cover i should get to keep butterflies off my brussels, this was prior to Two Sheds sorting me out, they suggested plastic sheeting, when i asked how i would water them, they looked at me blankly, also i pointed out that black plastic might somewhat restrict the light!Numptees.

Suppose there is some form of twisted logic in that Miffy...... it will keep the butterflies off your brussels as you won't have any ... doh!
