Oh guy's, I need a hug,
Not only am I having troubles with The Mother - she's in hospital at the moment recovering from a very bad chest infection ( so that's a daily 100mile round trip to see her), but yesterday we noticed that one of the Big Bunnies was limping very badly - almost dragging a back leg. Took him to the vet's this morning and, yup, he's broken it!
Can't work out how it could have happened other than his big brother having jumped down from their "upstairs" bedroom while he was lying underneath and landed on him!
Poor little b*gger, he's such a sweet-natured rabbit, and so-o-o friendly. If it's a clean break it'll cost about £200 to fix and - no- he isn't insured .
If it's a bad break, we'll have to let him go as apparently rabbits can't manage if they lose a back leg.
I feel so wretched. I know I should be more concerned about Mum, but she IS recovering and this feels like the rabbits leg is the camels back if you get my drift....
