  • What was the last meal you really enjoyed?

OH and I cooked together tonight, not done that for ages. We had a lovely Penang Curry.

What meal/dish have you had recently that you've really enjoyed?

A gorgeous bowl of steaming home cooked chilli and rice - eaten sitting on the bank during a 15 hour fishing trip on Sunday - absolutely glorious. Everything tastes so wonderful when you're outside.

A simple roast chicken salad on Sunday, including homegrown salad leaves, scallions, radish and onion. Tastes were amazing!
A good beginning is half the work.

Fish and Chips on saturday night sat on a bench on Shaldon sea front. Best chippie and only chippie in Shaldon, you will not be dissapointed.

I always enjoy my food, that is why I have a weight problem!
Last night.... cold roast beef, new spuds, carrots, broccoli (all shop, but we will have new spuds later in the summer, if the blight stays away this year)

This is gonna sound bad, I can't remember the last meal I really enjoy, most food is just ok, but great food doesn't come along that often.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Bit sad maybe...but I just treated myself to a nice freshly baked crusty white roll with a couple of chunks of butter!(it'd been in the fridge,so I couldn't spread it!)
Otherwise, fried or poached egg with runny yolk, again with a crusty roll & butter or with steamed purlpe sprouting broccoli to dip in the yolk.
I'm not really into big meals...enjoy snacky ones far more!
