I can never make poached egg anyway - it always ends up all over the pan.

      Scrambled for me.

I really enjoy all our meals to be honest, as I cook most of them.

Cripes - just heard a roof has collapsed at my old school.

Ooooopps, SORRY Mikey - I forgot! Hope it's not too painful.

I did an impromptu jobbie on Sunday evening, after a local country show, so I was knackered, as we exhibit (tractors and lorries, not bodies!).

Curried Chicken Thighs on a bed of basmati rice. I used powder spices, so no cheating with curry paste. Got the last of the left-overs for lunch today. Yummy!

You could get a little camping stove set up next to you.
Camping stove sounds great, you got an automatic caravan to go with that!

It always has to be real butter here, don't do fake spreads, and the poached eggs, real easy so they run all over the toast, .......I'm hungry again.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Last meal I really enjoyed wasn't one we'd cooked ourselves, but was really nice.

On Sunday afternoon we decided to pop out for lunch - we eventually got out just after 3 and headed to a pub not far from us. It's situated on a lock, and it was a really warm and sunny afternoon so we sat outside, I had a gorgeous burger and chips, LadyWayne had a Ploughmans - both really really tasty. Hayden was asleep while we ate, then woke up and we just sat in the sun (Hayden undercover obviously) watching the ducks and the boats going through the lock all whilst supping a nice glass of ale - even LadyWayne enjoyed an 'arf.

Made me really look forward to summer!

Last home cooked meal was fish pie last night, which was yummy. Good job really because we're eating the rest tonight.

                          Stop teasing yourself Mikey!

Mine would be the Barbeque we had last weekend, just me and the OH. We made king prawn kebabs (marinaded in Lime and Chilli flakes), Jamie Oliver's Couscous with roasted veg, hot new potato salad, and a homemade seedy loaf dipped in Olive Oil and Balsamic vinegar. Yum!

Oh yeah, and it was the first barbeque at the new house, which made it even more special.

Mikey I know how you feel mate. I used to read the food threads whilst KNOWING I had goat for dinner and tea. Not at all frustrating is it?
Pickled courgettes though.... happy with that idea, cant believe I never thought of it. I grow my own gherkins (fin de meaux, just starting to produce fruit) and pickle them, but not even thought of courgettes. Durrrrr!
