    Update

It's 11.35pm, we've got Sweetpea in the incubator. I'm not sure she'll survive the night.

During the evening she's gotten progressively weaker, and not really interested in milk.

I'm not sure if the last feed went into her tummy or her lungs. She didn't make any choking noises though. Her miaow was quite strong but she's stopped making much noise.

We have a craft fair tomorrow, so I'll take her with me if she's still here in the morning. We'll be leaving at about 6am and not home until late, so I'm really worried about that.

Just going to see how warm she is and try her on some milk now.

Jules I've been following little Sweetpea's progress. Really hope all worked out well last night and that she's still fighting this morning.

                We Lost Her...

I sat and cuddled her until she finally left us, about 2am.

Nature took it's course, and I think she stayed as long as she could. I don't know why she started to fade after doing so well to start with. Maybe she was just far too early and not strong enough to digest anything. I think the longer she was here the harder her going would have been.

We'll bury her in the garden tomorrow. It helped being busy at the craft fair all day today. We got in about 20 minutes ago (8.45pm), and it's been a long day.

Hopefully the weather will perk up long enough to have some garden therapy.

Poor little thing... you did your best for her, and made her comfortable for the time she was with you.

Well done for trying. As you say, just born too early. Hope the others(s) make a safer entrance

Oh, I am sorry. You couldn't have done any more for her.

Fingers crossed for the rest of the litter.

Very sad, but as you said nature took its course.
You did all that you could, but she was just too early.

I'm so sorry Jules. The poor little thing. Its tragic when something like this happens, but I suppose its natures way in the end. But take solace, she was so lucky to have you to care for her.
