So sorry to hear your news. At least you were able to give her the best chance possible. Hope everything goes ok with the other kittens.

      Low today

I guess cos we were so busy yesterday I didn't get chance to think about the Sweetpea much the low hit today. I felt really down.

Trawled through everything in my mind and can't come up with any one reason why she faded. I don't think it was through lack of care, but you know how you torture yourself? We've put her to rest in the garden under the peonies, with a slate headstone. I've drawn a kitten in the slate with my dremel.

Anyway, checking Izzy and her tum regularly it's wriggly wriggly wriggly so everything's still going well in there. I do hope they are as pretty as Sweetpea. She had a tabby head with a white nose, a tabby tail, and was white allover her legs and body with a row of black splodges along her back like a row of beads. Ach, they'll always be cute - it's in the job description.

The older four are a constant source of fun. Becoming quite active and very comic. Tilly has no control over them and spends her time nagging them uselessly. Will get some pics posted.

Thanks for all of the kind words. They made me cry, but were infinitely appreciated.

So sorry, but at least she had you to care for her. Hope it's better news when the other arrive. X

I know you'll keep wondering about it, but people and animals often rally before they deteriorate. No idea why, but it often happens. Her underdeveloped organs will mean that she just couldn't manage to keep everything going.
I doubt most people would/could have done as much as you did.

Hi Jules, I'm just catching up after the w/end. So sorry that Sweetpea lost her fight. You obviously did everything you could have possibly done, what a star you are.
            Bigs hugs to you.
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

I am so sorry for your troubles. Kittens, especially prem. ones are almost impossible to rear by hand. You tried and you gave it your best and though you feel sad now it will fade. Give it time and remember,Sweetpea is happy and at rest, not suffering, cold, hungry or in pain. I hope the rest of the babies do well.
