I think grape cycle sounds a good idea for furure seed/plants swops too. We could have regions, lol and meet at motorway services.

I have asked for a greenhouse but so far no luck. I am about to advertise a grey metal bunk bed with a settee that opens up into a double bed on the bottom, surplus now all but one kid left at home, and a tv that belongs to next door.

just been given a 12ft extendable ladder by someone on freecycle.. picking up a waterbutt tomorrow from someone else.. that site is amazing!!!!

yeah and i would never have even heard about it if i hadn't joined this site!!

we're going to make sure we give things away on freecycle as well as take things though, it's only fair.. we gave my daughters dolls house to a lovely young couple on saturday for their niece, they were absolutely delighted with it.. sometimes the saying "it's better to give than receive" is true

I've just registered as a result of this thread at my nearest freecycle group, looking forward to giving stuff away and hopefully finding some useful things too.

And even items not intended for gardening. I collected a dog cage tray 3'' by 2'' which has been great as a watering tray for my plantlets. Also a piece of smooth glass from a coffee table to use as a cold frame lid.

Yes, I have done really well with freecycle so far. I seem to do well with items that nobody else wants !

They could also be on several sites, and forgotten they haven't offered on one of them.

i know what you mean nog, i've just had 17 emails for TAKEN ads that i've never seen OFFER ads for and also i've seen TAKEN ads then 3 hours later the one offering the item arrives

i'll never get a greenhouse at this rate!
