Recycled and reused.

My son has just bought a double bed and was chucking out his wooden framed single bed base.
I have taken out the wooden slats which i will re use to make edges for paths , took out the springs, which i have tied to a frame with cable ties to make a quite trendy looking trellis for climbing plants and the wooden frame is now a fab raised bed (literally) on my plot. Less landfill and a new life for his old bed.
What unusual things have you recycled on your plot and put to new uses?

Both my Sheds were free from Freecycle, my metal compost bin is a Anderson shelter, my 7 darliks compost bins are off Freecycle, my 3 wood compost bins and decking are old palets, my cloches are water bottles, my water butts are freecycle. my path is made from bricks that were dumped in the local woods, my rotovator and trailler were yep freecycle. All my frames are old scoffold poles.

So I do my bit.
