Sounds good to me - we can get a petition together if it'll help LJ getting it past the "Powers that be".

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

It sounds a good idea to me. We only have a small WHS and no specialised bookshop. Any way if discovering new books without an eighty mile round trip to Lincoln or trawling through Amazon etc has to be a bonus; plus there would be a recomendation from someone who's actually bought it and not just the blurb on the cover trying to persuade you to buy it.

The DVD sounds interesting as well; will keep a look for it

The powers that be haven't said no - they are looking into it. I have suggested that it becomes a review board where members can recommend anything from books to garden tools.

If you want this then you need to post your support for the idea on this thread.

I think a review board's a great idea - it'll help prevent us making too many 'bad' buys and free up cash to spend on subscriptions to GYO

yes, yes. We can also use it for the best price we found them at rather than all of us having to do loads of googling

maybe LJ could do the googling for us aswell?

Sounds great, especially where comparison of prices are concerned. Its great to hear what others views are. A great suggestion.
