Thanks for the tip off DDL - have missed it all week and have now found it hidden away on channel 260, never ventured up this end of the cable channels so it's all new teritory. See what the previous posts mean about his perfect garden, mine would never look that good but don't suppose that matters. Not seen him doing any actual gardening yet just a bit of harvesting and all his plants seem to be perfect too. Is there any advice on problems you might encounter cos if a beginner thinks they'll get perfect crops like that with minimal effort then they could end up very disappointed! Particularly like the fact that they've just pixelated out the brand of sugar he was using, obviously an advertising thing, nothing to do with the programme but made me laugh and it beats the fruit bush pruning I've been doing this morning - my arms are cut to pieces.

Actually, hats off to the lad! the series was better than what I imagined with the first programme. I'm so much into GYO I thought "dig deep" was going to be more gardening than cooking, but thinking about it, James is a chef so that would form the main part of the prog. Throughly enjoyed him going back to his roots - all in all, a good series, despite my first thoughts! (only because I think everyone should be into GYO as much as I am!) DDLBernie aka DDL

Watched a couple of them and it was OK but a bit fluffy for my taste - wouldn't set the video for it (perhaps as well as I usually get that wrong!) but wouldn't turn it off if it was on. Thought that it was an interesting experiment and that JM probably got a lot from it but I like to feel like I've learned something as well which as others have already said isn't really the point of this programme ie it's more entertainment that out and out education.

Manuka is the New Zealand equivalent to Tea Tree. It is available in health food shops certified with its level of bio-activity (how good it is health wise). You will find Manuka 5 and 10. This is the % of active ingredient with antiseptic etc properties.Bright Blessings

Just watched todays episode of JM. He made marshmallows....they looked yum. It looked really easy to do. Anyone else made their own marshmallows?
Of course as a friend of mine would say JM is good eye candy anyway.Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful..William Morris

Dipped marshmallows in chocolate Shirley, that's about as far as 'making my own ' goes!
As for JM being 'eye candy' why do you think Lesley Jay asked for him to PM her, she knows a 'looker' when she sees one!Into every life a little rain must fall.
