If your plot is local go down in the evenings for an hour or so. If your wife is breast feeding or does the last feed anyway thats a perfect timeslot to have a bit of time for yourself. Its amazing how fast that hour feels like 10 minutes though...

My beans and peas suffered over the winter - so I have only got smallish plants and a few flowers too

Wayne, I felt like that a couple of weeks ago, industrial quantities of seedlings across the back of the house, on a low wall top, anywhere I had space.

And suddenly I'm starting to think that perhaps I haven't actually got enough plants to go in and whether I can get some late sowings started

I feel a bit inundated but I'm a bit stuck until my neighbour comes and rotovates the new allotment area in the paddock, he's meant to be doing it this week so I'm desperately trying to keep stuff alive for the meantime.

I do try and get an hour - trouble is it's not always still light when I get that hour.

Is your plot in walking distance? You could all go down together little bean in his pram, get a chair for lady wayne to sit in and you can tend your plants while little un gets some fresh air, might help him sleep later too.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

I have done really well with some stuff, but rubbish with others.... still got peas, beans, cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, herbs etc in pots on windowsills... still looks like a plant nursery!

I suspect it's cos we spent so much time getting the tunnel up, that I've neglected the actual veg beds in the patch! OH had promised to help me do some digging, but this weekend we ended up taking apart the old greenhouse, as more of the glass was precariously loose and one of the dogs put his head through a pane of it

I am determined to get it sorted though - my next days off from work are 2nd week in June, however OH is having a foot operation, so he won't be much use!

Oh dear, was that from the wind Two Sheds?
I've got a mini plastic greenhouse full of little plants & the kitchen is full of seedlings (some of which are looking a bit poorly now as they need to go outside!) & I really need to get around to putting them all out properly, just waiting for another few sunny days to harden them all off & plant out.
