Got up this morning and ...no car! Someone nicked it. It's the first time we have had a newish car and I'm 47! What's made it worse is that in the boot are all dads old tools. He died 5 yrs ago and it's always given us a lot of pleasure to use them when we are digging down the lottie- and that's another thing- since we've moved the allotment is no longer walking distance or any tranport links so that's going to be a pain, especially as it's been looking the best it's been. GGRR, grr and grrrrrrr!

the car is frustrating but replaceable the tools now that's just plain evil!

Things of monetary value are always replaceable, no matter how inconvenient. But things of a sentimental nature just arent.
I feel really sorry for you, but there is always a chance the car may be found. It will probably be trashed, but old gardening tools probably dont fetch too much on the black market so may still be inside.
That really is a carp start to the day.

That's very nice of you all, I think I will look on the bright side (much to OH's annoyance ) and think that we are lucky to reach this age without having had any cars stolen before! I'm hoping that maybe they will chuck out the tools as they are old and worn (you know that comfy feeling that wooden handles get when they've been around for years). Oh well, if it's meant to be, I'll get them back and if not, maybe there's a reason for it!

Really sorry to hear your news. A chum of mine suffered from the same thing and lost alot of personal items. Believe it or not they turned up on both ebay and a local car boot sale - if you have the time it may be worth a hunt for the tools?
