Know esactly how you feel chuck, we had our morris minor stolen and the one thing i missed in it was a photo of my grandma that was in the glove compartment, she was the one who had given us some money to buy the moggie so we took her with us wherever we went.
Got the car back but they had knackered it, crack in the sump, ripped the seats and kicked in the door, sold it after as it felt dirty.
I am so sorry to hear what has happened that really is carp. When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

What thieving scum bags. Hopefully (fingers crossed) the car will be found and you will get your dad's tools back. Do the tools have any identifiable markings? Perhaps put a few adverts up in local newsagents, Gumtree etc explaining the car theft and you want the tools back due to the sentimental value, they have no monetary value has anyone seen them/found them etc etc (you get what I mean)

Really sorry to hear that. Had one stolen some time ago which still annoys me to some extent - to this day it has never been found. Although there were personal things in the boot nothing was that sentimental and could/has been be replaced. Hope yours is found soon.
