can you go iback nto the command prompt and type:
ping growfruitandveg.co.uk you need to add www. in front of growfruitandveg.co.uk as this post underlines the address
Depending on any firewall you may see similar to:

Gosh no wonder you are loosing the will to live those times are very slow.

Have you another computer that you can access that is running anything but Vista, this would be to test the ping command to see if its a network issue or just a Vista computer problem, if not can you try this, you need to have administrator priviligies:
Go back into the command prompt (Start > Run > type "cmd" without the quotes > press Enter), at the command prompt can you type:
"netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled" without the quotes > press enter and reboot your computer and test. This may not fix your issue but it needs doing just to eliminate a know issue.
