it was really hot, cloudy and close here y'day, I was sure it would storm (passed right over though).

Today the sun is shining. Wayne, I hope you're right ... I'm off to the lotty all day with my suncream & the sweetcorns.

Just checked my local forecast (typed my postcode + weather into Google) and got a perfect day:

Gorgeous....

....really gorgeous outside. Have been pottering in the garden since first light....in my jamas.

Everything has been watered before the sun came around the house, put in a second sowing of salad leaves & red spring onions. Fed tomatoes & strawberries. Pulled a few weeds. Dredged the pond for blanket weed.

Then had my coffee in the sun......bliss!

Apparently the weather pattern throughout the summer is going to be a few days of sunshine followed by a few days of rain. Sounds about right for the garden, as long as it's not blowing gales too.

Was about 17 degrees in the tunnel today - at 6am! And that was without the sunshine on it!

Am thinking of purchasing a hammock and hanging it from the crop bars in there....
