  • I'm a bit down today...

....I lost the very 1st piece of jewlery my hubby brought yesterday. Its a ring, not worth very much by most peoples standards but I loved it nontheless. I've turned the house upside down, I've gone back to the job I did yesterday twice. No sign. I know in the grand scheme of things it's nothing, no ones hurt, no ones ill, we have a roof and food but I just can't help feeling sad about it. Bummer.

I know how you feel, Lizzy. I have a ring left to me by my lovely Nan, it's not valuable, it's certainly not the type of jewelery I'd choose for myself, but it is priceless to me and I'd be heartbroken if I lost it. I hope yours turns up for you.

          Shame....

....how awful for you. You can replace most things, but not memories.

I know it's a long shot, but do try asking at your local police station (if you've got one) you never know, someone might have handed it in. Report it missing just in case someone does hand it in.

          (((hugs)))

My mum lost a ring my Dad bought her a few years ago. Dad bought her a very similar replacement one for the next birthday and then 18 months later she was sorting out her plastic bag cupboard and found it at the bottom of one! It must have fallen off when she was putting shopping stuff away. You never know it could just turn up.I hope it does.

Hope it shows up Lizzy...doesn't matter the monetary value,if it means a lot to you then that's more!
The first pressie Andi gave me was a tiny stone he found...the markings on it look just like a little fairy...to many it's just a stone, but I'd be gutted to lose it!

That's what usually happens with me too.

Hope you find it soon, Lizzy

Check the bottom of the washing machine each wash you do - that's where lots of my stuff ends up - I wonder what that clacking is and find all sorts.

I do hope you find it.

I once lost a bracelet couldnt find it anywhere I was gutted, My mum came to my house one day and said look what I found in your drive, my bracelet had fallen off my wrist when I put the wheels of the pram in the boot of the car, I had driven in and out dozens of times but not walked.
I do hope you find it. My son found a watch on the beach when he was litte 20 + years ago, we still have it as it wasnt claimed and my daughter has a ring that was never claimed even though both were taken to the police station.

Ah thats just lovely - also the kind of thing I do. I've presented Matt with gravel before and then pointed out it's in the shape of a heart. I thought he threw them out and then I found them in his odds and sods jar in the shed. Hard hairy biker that he is!!

A huge 'thank you' for your kind words which are worth far more than money and also a bemused thanks from Matt who a big smacker cos I was reminded about him keeping gravel

Maybe that whats was meant to happen - I lost the ring but got reminded I have a romantic (ish) hubby. Thanks guys!

I'll try the police, and a letter to the house where I worked and 2 final places to check tomorrow and then I'll stop looking I promise.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, and thanks again.

{hugs} was hoping to read that you had found it today. (from another sentimental fool) I only wear my wedding band the one way round as that is the way my wife put it on my finger when we got married....

Keeping everything crossed that you find it.
