I'm not surprised. Loads of people I know are 'growing their own' for the first time this year. Great isn't it?!!
A good beginning is half the work.

I read an article which said exactly the same thing, only thing is that I read it 12 months ago.......
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Definitely more and more people I know are growing their own. One of my friends who is fond of her garden but always did flowers etc before has now developped a load of pots and tubs for veg and even a very sweet - smallest I've ever seen - raised bed. She claims she got too jealous of watching me grow more and nore things in our garden over the last couple of years and just had to join in.
Personally I think she felt the 5 minute walk to ours to ask for spinach, beans or courgettes was just too far to go
