Mutant Radish

I got a bit of a shock when I harvested some radishes today, one seems to be intent on taking over the earth!!!! Don't know why it grew so much considering it was planted at the same time as the others and watered at the same time. I have included a regular sized one in the picture for comparison.

Perhaps it had ambitions to be a beetroot?!

I've planted some that are supposed to be "golfball"sized,not harvested any yet as they seem to take longer than the usual ones.

Ours are all sorts of sizes also, some the size of cherries and some the size of golf balls!

I've had some jumbo radishes too - some the size of a small potato - about half the size of a tennis ball! In fact I've had much smaller new potatoes than the size of my radishes!!
