Seriously unambitious person coming through. I've got all my ambitions - Himself (lovely man, wouldn't swap him for anything) house with big enough garden to have veggies AND chickens, bit of allotment, 2 happy, healthy lovely children and ditto grandchildren. Time and enough cash to pursue my hobbies. Living in a small, friendly vilage community - plenty of interesting activities and no time to be bored.
What else could I want? And I don't even own a bucket!

I'm glad I'm not the only one Flum! I read this thread with interest, but hardly dare confess that I too am lucky enough to have no burning desires to do anything before I kick the proverbial. I too have found my soulmate in Mr P, have 3 children who give me such joy as I never thought possible (well, most of the time!), live in a lovely house in a beautiful place, and am a very contented, happy person. Life has been good to me thus far, and I appreciate every moment, as I know I am very lucky. Yes, we don't have any spare cash whatsoever, but then 'the best things in life are free' - thank goodness! There are things that I'd quite like to do, but if I don't get around to them for whatever reason I won't feel cheated. But just for interest they include:
Learn to do stonecarving
Go back to Greece (we used to go every year pre-children, but I can't imagine ever being able to afford it again!)
Own a Rayburn (is that a bit sad?)
Overcome my fear of being underwater
and there are probably some others, but I obviously don't want them that much if I can't think of them
Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

I do know what you mean...alot of the things I wanted to do when younger were not all that interesting when I did them - and I really went hell bent for leather doing them at the time...and now I am perfectly happy just pottering. I do courses every year, to learn new things in moderation. I don't drink, don't smoke and enjoy food. Got excellent Other Half, 2 fab nieces, a great step daughter, and a good family, with good friends [one of which I am seeing later today with her new baby]. I do things that I like doing, don't do things I don't like doing and long may it last.
I would like a rayburn though. Just not enough room for it here.
I've done most of what I ever wanted to do - was late into settling down - had a pretty mad life before, aside from the social side of things - hillwalking, rock-climbing, ice-climbing, sailed at Cowes Regatta (winch grinder extrordinaire), long distance walking (Glasgow to Cape Wrath sleeping rough and taking in 34 Munros en route), glacier walking in Canada, Ice climbing in French Alps, snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, Fishing for (and catching) salmon, stalking red deer etc etc etc
Now have darling wife, two beautiful girls, our own house, and run my own business growing vegetables.
All I have left to do is a visit to Everest Base Camp
I do have others but dont wanna bore u with em lol

Can sort your second one chuck - you can have a ride on the RD400 when Drew gets back from the IOM - you can borrow my helmet and leathers! - Up for it?

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
