Anyone going this Saturday? I might be going yet, depends on what doctor says but anyone else gonna go? Might be nice for a meet, coffee, natter, lunch????
Went yesterday but have no idea where I'd have found time for meeting anybody, took me all day to walk round twice and that was at a show which I thought was rather smaller than usual. Seemed to be a lot of totally random stalls - think I upset the girl who bounded up to me asking if I was intersted in hair straightening / curling products. What exactly have either of those got to do with gardening / cooking? Likewise the bed (as in sleeping, not growing!) stand? Very strange. Still spent enough though even though I didn't enjoy it as much as in other years. Rather too many expensive pink flowering trowels and the like and not enough proper, good quality equipment. Not sure if it's changed or I have as it's the first time I've been since I got an allotment.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
If you go take a set of shin pads to counter the blows that you will get from those with the plastic boxes on wheels - convinced they were designed by the devil and eyes in the back of your head to prevent being mowed down by the small percentage of very rude people on mobility scooters. Went on Thursday and found some bits better than previous years but other bits very poor. Went with the intention of buying some new tools. I could only find two "proper" stands selling them - didn't think OH would be too impressed with a floral pink set...
Don't worry Alison I upset the girl that tried to cover me in make up! Maybe I was missing something but could not find the link between gardening or food. Made friends with the guys on the De Wit tool stall though - they could not have been more helpful.
