im watching things develop

well i looked at my toms and i have seen 3 little green toms on one plant which is excellant as i nearly killed the poor things. now i just have to remember to feed them.

the pumpkins are growing really well im thinking that the middle one is getting over run by the other two as i have planted them too close together but hey.

one of the female pumpkin didnt get pollenated so it went all soft yellow and fell off, but now at the moment im trying putting the male plant in to the female plant and see what happens.

but the annoying thing is that the female ones open before the male ones and then the female one dies and the male opens. but i have looked at the plants and they have other female plants slowely forming so i will be trying all the methods that everyone has given me. (thank you every one)

i have put a new picture of my pumpkins on my album too and my garden, im very proud of it as it was dull and boring last year and a mess too.

do melons grow the same way as pumpkins????? im writing myself a little book on what to do with plants and what not to do with plants....in my own words and what i have done wrong and what i have learnt, i feel that doing that it will help me next year too. and i can keep adding.

Melons grow like Cucumbers.....don't let more than 2 grow per plant and net them.

do they grow on the ground or do you have to prop them up, im thinking of growing some honey dew melons next year, but i need to know how much space i need.

If you plant your pumpkins a bit later next year, when it's warmer, you will have fewer problems with rotting fruit/flowers

yes i will do that next year, i have learnt now not to do it too early and also not too close together.
