Good luck with the search. Must be an awful feeling for Mrs (to be) Teamladd.

Thanks for all you comments, when I get home, im going to be taking out the seats of the car and stripping them down, then while the seats are out will be looking everywhere possible.

We went to a carboot yesterday and when we got back to the car is when she put the hand cream on and took her ring off. We did drive back over to check where we parked but no joy. The only other place we stopped was outside her friends house we have been and checked their twice. (I think if it was there someone would of picked it up and kept it.) Im going to report it lost today with the police just incase it turns up.

I will report on any findings this evening.

      Thanks all!

My daughter found a ring in a car park once, took it to the police station and she still has it cos no one reported it lost.

Hope you find it, Teamladd. It's awful to lose something precious like that.

I must say you sound like a couple well and truly in love. How sweet!

Obviously she's upset and it's not nice to lose something like that but you could be telling us MUCH sadder news. Look for it as hard as you can but don't get distraught about it, nobody has died, you still have each other it's only a symbol of your engagement and not it's not like the loss of a ring stops you being together.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I know how she must be feeling I lost my wedding ring twice within six months of getting married, both times while struggling to detain shoplifters. The first time i saw it drop down a drain but after checking at the earliest opportunity it was gone, it was raining at the time and there was a good chance it had washed away. The second time I chased a bloke across a playing field in Oxford in a bit of a running battle. Finally got hold of him and had a real struggle to detain, then realised my ring was missing with a 200m area it could be in. Luckily the store manager brought out as many staff as he could spare as well as three police officers who had turned up for after for the incident.
After twenty minutes of looking we were about to give up when a traffic warden handed the ring to a police officer after she found it on the road that i had ran across and was sure I hadn't at that point dropped it.

All I will say is thank god for traffic wardens (lol)

              Good luck with your search

Thinking as if I would be applying handcream and taking off a ring - I'd probably place on dashboard whilst applying.

If you are able to remove/replace dash - have a go - if not ask your friendly garage servicers to do so when you next have to get the car looked over/serviced/mot - my regulars are great. It could have fallen down behind the dash and into the air intake/leaf-debris collection system.

Sorry if that sounds a bit girly - but I am (poor devil!). Seriously I do hope that you find this precious item soonest and that you can mark it out as a good 'omen' that the future is for you no matter what. I'd be willing to bet it'll turn up when you least expect it.

Good luck to you in finding it and for the future for both of you!

Can anyone find my Wedding Ring for me? I lost it the day after our anniversary last year. It's either in the house, or the hay shed!

(It's the second one I've lost - himself not too happy about it either )

                    WE HAVE FOUND THE RING!

We put posters up and a lady rang us and said she had found it. It was about 30 houses down from where we had originally lost it!

                        Wonderful news!

My mother lost her emerald engagement ring whilst gardening - it turned up 15 years later at the bottom of the compost heap!!

vacuum car with attachment, in every nook and cranny, then empty bag or cylinder out and check, good luck. I am sure it will turn up!
