I've never been a guardsman, I dont really bother about what I wear. If its comfy I wear it.
I am generally to be seen at home in 3/4 length shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt of some description, whatever the weather, and it works for me.
When I'm in work, sadly I have to conform and wear a shirt and trousers, as it is an office environment, but yesterday evening, as I wandered down to the kitchen to make a coffee the house guard said to me:
"I've seen that man before" and pointed at me.
Somewhat confused I asked an Urdu/English speaker to translate.
"Sorry Sa'ab, he means that he has seen people dressed like you begging at the train station."
Not quite sure whether to be proud or insulted.
