Can I join this club? I've no idea either.
HW have the time of your life! I love live music.....took my AP's to see Only Men Aloud (winners of Last Choir Standing) and they were utterly fabulous.

Only thing that I'm a bit unsure about is that I've been told the seats (where I'll be) are on a reallly steep slope and up quite high.
Ironically I'm not that great with heights.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

OK, I quoted myself, here, because Simple Minds only went and booked a gig!!
Have fun, Wayne. I've got U2 AND Human League, this weekend, plus a wedding. I'm spending Sunday in bed, I tell yer!
Currently revising U2 lyrics, so I can join in! Their new album is sooooo much better than the recent stuff. They've gone back to their roots. Yah!

We were up high when we went to see the Chilis...as we won the tickets I couldn't really grumble!
Anyway, our seats were only a few away from the big steps & wall so I went & stood there instead...a wall to every now & then fall onto made me feel a little safer!
I know sometimes the stewards get a bit arsey about you staying in your seats but maybe you could use your height to your advantage & point out that if you move to the wall then the peeps behind you will be able to see.
That is of course if you happen to be seated near a wall...otherwise sorry for the pointless waffle!Last edited by di; 12-08-2009, 10:40 AM.the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

I've been to loads of gigs and been really high up......the Libertines at the Brixton Academy on the Saturday night - we were right at the back but this made it better as the place was absolutely manic - everyone knew every word and the band was absolutely kicking ass......and we could see all the audience as well which somehow made it better.....it won the NME gig of the year that year and they were right - it was total joy to be there.
Tori Amos at the Nottingham Royal Centre was also seen from a great height - but a bit too far as with one of her gigs it is best to be closer....
Some you win and some you don't.
Anyway - at least you got tickets eh Big Fella??? Or you'd be moping around this week and trying to get them on ebay for some ridiculous price...

I saw Massive Attack at Brixton a couple of years ago and it was an amazing atmosphere! I don't normally like gigs at Brixton so much but it was SUPERB.
I imagine Pearl Jam would be a pretty amazing buzz too... I'd imagine the ... erm... avergae age of their fans is a bit... erm... higher by now (compared to how old I was when I got into them!) so everyone will be loving it but not too aggressive!
Man... the injuries I've witnessed at some gigs! I'm not tall, not by a long stretch (maybe a long stretch would help though!) so I hated going to the front of gigs even when I was younger as I always felt like I was going to get crushed and I could never see anything anyway!
