Anyone stopping up? *And is it the sunrise tomorrow I should be watching? or did I miss it today?*
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
It's tomorrow night isn't it. Niece was born on the 22nd, so celebrating it tomorrow as she'll be at school on Monday.
I thought the celebration was at the dawn? which would make it tomorrow morning..........unless I've got it wrong again?

Tomorrow morning at dawn (starts about 04:46). Should I go to Stonehenge or should I go to Avebury?
There's a nice wood about five minutes from where I live............think the dog will get an early walk tomorrow!

Not sure Snadger but at least the weather is half decent.
A few years ago I had a party to celebrate mid summer night. It was perishing and lashing. The guests arrived in raincoats and scarves and I had the fire roaring up the chimney. But we had a good time.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Don't go to Stonehenge. Mr T went a few years ago when we lived within walking distance. He spent so much time looking down to avoid the puddles of vomit he nearly missed the sunrise. Mostly full of affected youth (and born again druids). I think it was actually the winter solstice that Stonehenge was built for anyway (maybe it is too cold in December for the poor dears though )
Many years ago whilst at college near Bridgewater, several of us decided to visit Glastonbury Tor the the Solstice, we all piled into a car at about 4amish and drove to Glastonbury town, parked up and set off...
we thought we were so smart that surely everybody would be at Stonehenge...
We stared the climb up the side of the hill in the gloom...total silence, thick clouds over head, we were giggling, excited..........................................we got to the top to find about 500 other people all milling around, drinking, drum bashing taking drugs.......
The sun started to come up, the clouds came down..so did the rain..
