Flower arranging for a village wedding! A really nice experience. I'm not a member of the Anglican church but am always welcomed if I offer to join in with anything. This is what I made!

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

Actually - cheats' corner confession here. The wooden support for the blocks of Oasis that hold the flowers is in 3 parts, the curved arch at the top and the 2 uprights. These bolt together when the flowers are in place. The separate parts can be hung from a beam in church and worked on separately. I had a friend to pass me foliage as I called for it and it took us from 9.00 - 5.15 with a break of an hour for lunch. I grow some of the foliage and the mock orange flowers but the chrysanths were bought.
It was put in place with the aid of a strong men with a step ladder and it all hangs on a single hook at the top (except the weight is taken by the stone top of the arch so the hook merely keeps it all in place).Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I used ivy, golden cupressus, variegated euonimus and eucalptus as foliage with mock orange, lady's mantle and white and yellow spray chrysantemums. These latter were the only things bought and were used in all the other arrangements too.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
