  • BBC fails to deliver the rain .... again ....

It's been pretty dry recently and I've been struggling to keep up with veggies due to arthritis ...... i've lost some because I haven't been physically able to water everything ......

so on Thursday, the BBC weather forecast was for thunder storms overnight and Friday afternoon ....... fantastic! no need for me to water everything!

    WRONG!

just a shower overnight ....... and Friday was dry as a bone and very hot ..... and today is hot and dry too ......

BBC weather forecast online is for light showers this evening ...... do I trust the BBC weather???? sods law says if i don't then it won't rain, but if i do, we'll get lots of rain .......

    do i? don't i? do i? don't i?

Sympathies FG, watering is something I'm struggling with too
Have you looked at the other forecasts? Metcheck is usually more accurate for us than BBC.

Would it be possible to rig up some kind of irrigation from your water butts? I know the taps on some of them can take a hose fitting...

My butts are empty, the soil is dry on top but quite moist underneath. I'm watering into pop bottles as needed (the chick peas and lettuce had a drink).

We were forecast rain again today, but it's been hot, humid and foggy instead. Again.

            Just re-checked:
BBC and Google both say rain. Metcheck says not.
            however, Metcheck says it's 16C, but it's actually 19C.

I'll send the rain over with Squashysu then

We had a small shower this morn but it's seriously humid at the moment. The storm yesterday was really a match for any monsoon..........

We had about 20 drops and that was it......we could have had thunder but its air show weekend...so its dificult to tell between sonic booms and thunder.

Very humid here in Preston, but lots of heavy downpours as well. Dexter barks his head off when it bounces off the roof of the lean-to. (for those of you who are posh - conservatory!)
