No rain, water butts empty and I'm ignoring the vegetables in the ground until they wilt at which point I feel immediately guilty..

We heard the thunder - and had some lightning, but it seemed angry.

We had a deluge yesterday - LW called me at the office to tell me our guttering had broken - it hadn't, it was just too much rain for the gutter to take. The patio flooded too.

It was really hot and sticky last night and has been all day - humid and then some! We had a barbecue earlier with some friends and it was a pleasant day - not too sunny.

Then the rain came - and it came with a vengance (after having heard thunder rumbling away for about an hour). After about 10-15 minutes of heavy rain it turned into hail. Hail!!

        Madniss I tell you.

        Feels a bit fresher now.

        Nice.

its been scorchio here, i had my hat on by 11.00 or i would have melted. friday was humid and cloudy. thursday around mid morning there was a smattering of rain for about an hour off and on.depending on what forcast i looked at ,from wed it was either storms and sun or sunny outbreaks to the end of the week.so nobody really got it right as far as i can see.
a good put down line to use !

Compared with some of the crazy presenters on most French tele channels, the UK meteo previsions are really accurate.

We've supposed to have had rain several days this past week and so far, nothing. Where we are, the temperature is usually 2/4 degrees above that predicted and the only accurate forecast we get is on the back of the regional newspaper.

No rain, water butts almost empty and now having to use the timer system linked to the domestic water supply.

I think they were more acurate when they used the magnetic weather symbols apart from Fish in '87!
