I happen to think that anything from the good Dr P's stable should be in red. We shall see later on this evening if I win it on Ebay or not.
Good luck! Let us know how you get on.

        Will drive a Hummer instead.
Madmax here - If you get a Hummer, don't bother with those girlie H3's or H2's that those wanna-be limo companies here in the UK use... Get a Hummer Alpha 1! This is based on the HMMWV! Arnie styleeeeee....!!!!

But seriously - please say you're joking!

Madmax that's just plain lazy not changing your login

Red is ok as long as it's a Land Rover

Hi MM, having seen the Alpha 1's getting stuck all over the place I wont be getting one of them. In fact, I wouldnt be getting one at all. I drove an American Army one, dreadful, then drove an H3 in Beirut, where they are all the rage. Rubbish.
No, I shall be getting a small 2 seated thingy, in red so all the women can nod knowingly without actually knowing.
Steve, there is only 1 GTS, the very one in your piccy. Few more years before I can afford one of them though.

BP that one was a poster on EBay, hence why I said I can afford one of those.

Was in a filling station the other week when a big new red Farrari pulled in (don't know the model but boy child nearly wet himself).

Guy pulled in so pump was on right of him, odd I thought as the filler was on the left. Went to open the door (gull wing style) and it hit the pump. Closed door, started it up again (sounded a bit like a jumbo jet in a bisquit tin), revved it a bit, reversed and nearly hit car behind, pulled forward again but a further away from the pump. Tried opening the door but same problem. Did the same start rev and adjust distance from pump. Eventually got out and started searching for the filler. When he walked round the car and saw the filler, some wag started to clap him.

Car worth a fortune, cudos nil.

Get what YOU like. If others jump to silly conclusions, that is THEIR problem.
Me, I want a bright yellow, shocking-pink, flourescent green or orange car one of these days. WHY? because they are conspicuous, and I happen to believe that the easier your car is for others to see, that is one less potential cause of accidents...... It would be hard to come out with 'sorry I didn't see you' if you are in a 'hit you in the eye' car.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Only you can know if you have any inadequacies to cover up
I think these sort of statements are perpetuated by people who can't afford a nice car Usually the people who can afford them are people who have worked hard for a certain length of time, so not a 'midlife crisis' but more the age which you're likely to be able to afford one.

Personally, I prefer a car which looks very innocent but conceals a roar - my old Mondeo 2.5l GhiaX for instance, which could out-acclerate/outrun a lot of BMW/Audi etc, but looked like an old man car

We have a friend with a red Porsche Boxter. It looks okay, but now it is 9 years old it is surprising to see the faded and peeling paintwork. The car has been cared for by the Porsche dealership all its life and has cost a lot to maintain. I was shocked to hear the servicing costs!

The worst thing about the car though, is the sound it makes, it sounds like a tinned fart! I would rather my Mk1 Golf cabrio any day
