Hot and getting hotter!

I've just been out into my sun lounge (west facing) and by golly I was knocked back by the heat.

Thermometer is at the top of the register 50C/120F - could even be hotter

Perhaps I just didn't look when we had the last heatwave (2003?) - but I've never seen it so hot in the sun lounge before.

Nice weather for my exotics I'm trying this year - dragon fruit basking in the heat!

Goes back into the kitchen where I have my humungous air conditioner running and the downstairs is soooo cooool!

I've just come back into the house and its lovely sat here at the PC drinking tea with the oscillating fan wafting over me.

Loads of watering to do, in the allotment and garden!!!! but all my flowers (that need hottttt! weather) are in blooms

I've had to put a fan near my baby chicks to get the temperature down to 31. Last week I had to keep a light on them to get it up to 28. But that's just typically British isn't it

No, don't do it.... you'll wake up covered in slug snot... . Its very hot and humid here as well, really wish it would rain in the night, might cool it down a bit, i'm sat here with the bedroom window wide open hanging out like a panting dog.

I stupidly forgot to open my greenhouse door yesterday morning before going to work !! Dohhh !
Hottest day of the year so far.
Found a couple of things withered but otherwise ok. My aubergine plants seemed to like it tho.
