The Vine always does the "All Cookies Cleared" when you log out, that's standard, not just Piskie. But that doesn't explain the lack of cookies for the rest of the time...

Not somethiing I noticed before as I dont log out just shut down the tab or browser, its probably just clearing session cookies because it doesnt clear the first party cookie or the myraid gif files that visting the vine sticks on your drive

I run vista 64 on my PC and I have the free software from Microsoft "Microsoft Virtual PC" running Windows XP Pro.

            http://www.microsoft.com/windows/dow...7-f6c7a1f000b5

It runs in a window and by pressing Alt Tab I can toggle between the two operating systems.

I have some old software that does not run in Vista, but XP is fine.

I am using Zone Alarm as AV
If your version is either of the following can you see if this helps:
                  ZoneAlarm Pro
                  ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

The Privacy settings in ZoneAlarm may be blocking some features that this
website needs to work properly, such as cookies, pop-ups and mobile
                  code.

Please understand by disabling the privacy settings, you are not disabling
the firewall, it is only disabling the added feature of blocking cookies and
advertisements. If you can narrow down what sites exactly need the pop-
up and/or cookies you can leave your settings up and click the Site List tab
and add the site(s) to this list.

The Site List is basically an exception list to your set default privacy
settings and will override the privacy settings for the sites you add to this
section, but make all other sites not on the list follow the default privacy
settings you have set in ZoneAlarm. Please follow the steps below to do
                  this:

                  01.) Close all Internet browsers
                  02.) Open ZoneAlarm
03.) Click the Privacy Panel, Main Tab, turn ALL items to off.
04.) Open your browser and make sure the site is working as expected.
                  05.) Close your browsers.
06.) Turn your privacy settings back to the settings you would like them,
and then click the Site List Tab.
07.) Open your browser to the web site that was not working and watch the
                  Site List Tab in ZoneAlarm.
08.) ZoneAlarm will add the sites that it has blocked items from to this list
                  as it blocks things.
09.) One at a time, right click on the sites that were added and choose
Options, then remove the checks from the Cookies, Ad Blocking, and
Mobile Code tabs and click OK.
