pumpkin

one of my pumpkins is going orange but i have just noticed that the main stem that it is attached too is dead.......will the pumpkin be ok????????

I have three plants, two have a pumpkin each and one has two pumpkins. They are all doing well and one is getting quite big,( large water melon size ) where as the other three are about melon size. I am nursing them along especially the big one.
