Glad to hear things are improving Su, but if it doesn't entirely clear, let me echo others and say, get it checked out - whatever you have to say to get a doctor to call to you, say it.
Unfortunately, there are no medals for suffering, but sometimes I think doctors mentally halve what you tell them (about the severity of pain), so have no qualms about giving an extreme account of the pain.My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)

Hey Su, glad the pain has eased, but if it starts up again get yourself straight to casualty. Things like grumbling appendixes can give fluctuating pain levels, don't ignore it. My OH started complaining of stomach pains after he'd mowed the lawn, the following day he went to our GP who rushed him straight into hospital. They insisted he wasn't in enough pain, but I kicked up a stink and said he was actually very good a dealing with pain. They had him under observation and decided to operate after exhasting all the other possibilities. Sure enough, his appendix was inflamed and had adhered itself to something else in there. It needed to come out!!
Sending you my very best wishes xxx

Doctor - definitely.
I had horrible pains a few months back and was crying with pain etc. Turns out I had a nasty gastro-infection of some sort and ended up on a lovely cocktail of pills for a couple of weeks. My OH had to take time off work cos I couldn't do a thing.
The pain came and went in waves too, was as painful as labour, please get it checked out if it comes back. Hope you feel better soon.Last edited by kirsty b; 07-07-2009, 11:56 AM.Kirsty b xx

Oh, this sounds like a gall bladder infection? I had one 5 years ago. You must get to docs asap - could be a stone being passed, better be safe than sorry. Does it hurt if you press your upper right abdomen when lying down? and don't worry - they will sort it out!

If it starts again Su, you MUST either get the doc out or go to A&E.
You must get yersen checked out.
I HATE going to Docs but I had a sore throat on Thursday, by Saturday night couldnt swallow (or speak - Allotment Lady has had a very quiet weekend!). I went to Docs yesterday am - Ive got a throat infection, am now on antibiotics and havent to talk for 3 or 4 days. DH says great! Wish I'dve gone to see him on Saturday am then at least the tabs could start working.
DO let us know how you get on chuck!Bernie aka DDL
