Can't get tickets for Fleetwood Mac. Boo hoo hoo. Well, I should say I *can*, but only for Friday the 6th Nov. There's no way I can even consider it, as WWIII goes on about 50m from my ponies' field and given the reaction of my new mare to some f***wit letting off a gun nearby yesterday, I'll be once again camped out, watching some ponies trying to break their legs in fear. 'kin bonfire night sucks.

Hmm...I can understand the problem...we have all the yard lights on- and radio on full blast and peeps wandering about til at least midnight....problem is when 5th Nov falls on a Friday when you seem to get 2 full nights of fireworks
We're not there this year to help out...
...have you no-one who can help you out???...such a pity."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

Hi Nicos,
Can't take the risk with the new pony. The one friend nearby who could have helped out is the one paralysed by her recent accident! She is expected to regain movement, but it'll take at least a year, so there's no way she can help out! I get two full nights whatever the year - ponies are in a village with one of the largest displays in the area (they do the Fri) and I live in Brockham, which bascially explodes on the Saturday. Friday is the problem, simply due to the proximity of the fireworks, as the whole ground shakes underneath us, thanks to the trend for military scale explosives. Sniff. Perhaps I'll get a million ACP and let them sleep through it (exmoors are notorious for resisting ACP)!!!!
