  • Anything to look out for at the local Indian Supermarket?

I have one tucked away at the bottom of the road and was gonna pop down there today to see if I can get some chilli's, is there any veggie stuff I should look out for that might be worth buying?

Not sure if it's in season, but at certain times our shop does the most amazing pakistani carrots. Alot redder than european ones and much sweeter too. Also mooli is an awesome raddish if you like that kind of thing. My OH likes to try veg he's never had before from there.

When we lived in Derby our local Sohals, used to have lots of bunches of different herbs, which except for coriander wouldn't be found in a supermarket. Obviously spices like coriander & cumin seed will be cheaper in bulk. It depends what you like to cook. We used to ask one of the female assistants at the shop how or in what things should be cooked - that might be best.

I was hoping to get some Naga's but all that had was what looked like Cayenne's. I'll have to hunt down another one, thanks for the suggestions though.
