Having worked with civvies and some senior military personnel in the past, many of them live in an alternative universe and couldn't organise their knicker draw.

Suzie, he's obviously a tough old bugger and has been in the services for many years so knows his way round where it matters, on the ground. Even then, it's still a worry for you and the family.

Can opnly hope all goes well for him and his unit and that they all come home safe and sound. And, you've also got all your Vine/Facebook chums to keep you company in the meantime

Thanks guys - the pattern goes like this:

            - tiredness from crying
            - disorientation
            - realisation that it is going to be a very long before he is back
            - hoping he gets back
            - getting into a 'normal' life
            - becooming independant
            - starting the count down
            - getting excited
            - buying champagne
            - making sure the house is clean
            - making (trying to make) sure I look like I did when he first met me (shut up you lot)
            - home he comes
            - getting slightly annoyed that he is messing up the place
            - 'normal' life resumes

and peppered throughout that lot, trying to keep away from the News - lalalalalala

Thinking of you, hope you're OK. Sadly this is what happens when you let yourself be dazzled by a uniform.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I've only ever had 10 days away from Himself. Mind you, it WAS dangerous - he was in France with a load of students!

I'm sure it will go faster than you think chuck. Best wishes to you both.
