you have to laugh really tho don't you!

You will have, most likely, heard the meedja talk of Government not funding the military properly, for once the meedja are telling the truth - jeez

I shall have to quickly shave my legs and run out for champers whilst he is unpacking - again

In the words of Victor Meldrew
          I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!

I was going to post something about looking behind the door to check that he wasn't going to jump out and say "supprise" but I didn't think it was in very good taste so I didn't send it but Wadyaknow sounds like it doesn't bother the Military.

Sorry to hear it though, try and chill and make the most of it. Hi SD by the way x

when OH was waiting to fly home from Belize a few years ago, they got on and off the plane 5 times before they managed to take off.

Did you manage to get through all the steps in your post above (no.50)?
It must be a nightmare though Piskie as you have to psych yourself up all over again. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in their equipment either does it? Get on the phone to 'Gordon'!

I got called to go somewhere a good few years ago,Friday afternoon, mega short notice. So short I didnt even have time to go home, so had to send one of the lads to go and collect socks and boxers etc as I was briefing blah blah.
The lad came back laughing his head off, as apparently my Mrs had opened the door, with red puffy eyes, handed over a carrier bag of my smalls and said "its not like this on Soldier Soldier>"
4 days later we finally flew. Nightmare.
You learn things quickly in the army.

                        Military intelligence isnt
                        Special forces arent.

Cheer up Mrs, I fear for the porcine population of the country as SD will have eaten most of it before he leaves.

My heart goes out to you Piskie - and all the others and their families who have been involved in that fiasco. Shocking. Really shocking. If they can't get a plane off the ground on time what hope is there.

At least Snowdrop has some maturity and experience under his belt to help him to cope with all that. I feel so sorry for those 18 year old boys out there. They must just want to go home to their Mothers. And I hope they didn't have to go through the trauma of setting off several times.

Sincere best wishes for SD, all who fly with him, all who are already there and their families. And a sincere wish that the government who sent them there will at least provide them with the equipment they need to do the job.

There are times when I wish I was a praying person - but I'm not.
Every good wish for all the best Piskie, and to all involved.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
