Now then. What's a lay-horn? I assumed a lay-hole was a grave!

I've been wondering too so I just googled it and it seems it might mean something else. Not rude though - phew!

Apparently, Lay-hole being a northern description could actually refer to a trap, and we know meddlers are nosey interfering peep, so it probably meant a trap for nosy peeps not graves for nosy peeps.

Either way Flum, our instincts would have been right: skedaddle quick sharp.
